Nutritional Coaching
Whether you are a pregnant mom, a nursing mom, a husband that has put on some extra weight due to sympathy pregnancy, or just need to break unhealthy habits, nutritional coaching may be something you're interested in. At times, our busy lifestyles can take a toll on diets. Nutritional coaching can help you get back on track. This is also useful if you need to learn how to cook simple, healthful meals that don't require much time once baby comes.
Initial Nutrition Consultation is $45, packages and pricing are further discussed when contractual agreement is signed.

 Birth and Postpartum Doula Services
As a postpartum doula, I can assist in planning for your upcoming baby's arrival. A woman often begins nesting and realizing that there is much to get done before the baby is born, and this can lead to unnecessary stress. Prioritization and organization is key for a sense of preparedness. A postpartum doula can be a great asset during these times of panic and can bring ease and help while accomplishing these tasks.

It is a postpartum doula's privilege to aid in the transition of growing your family.  By providing evidence based information on emotional and physical recovery from birth, cesarian sections, mother-infant bonding, infant feeding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care, parents can better make decisions that suit their core beliefs and align with their family structure.  According to the American Pregnancy Association, research shows that moms, dads, and babies have an easier time with this transition when a good support team is in place. Having a postpartum doula also decreases the likelihood  that a mother suffers a postpartum mood disorder. In the instances where baby, mother, or father are experiencing a medical or psychological issue, resources are will  be readily provided.

As a birth doula, I am trained to provide non-medical support during your birth experience. Doulas are non-medical practitioners that focus on a laboring mother's needs. A doula's goal during birth is to emotionally and physically support a woman's needs as well as encourage informed decision making during the birth process. It is a common misconception that a doula can only play a role in the process of a home birth. In reality, doulas are trained to offer support in home birth, hospital birth, water birth, and even during cesarean section. Another misconception is that we are "labor coaches". My approach is viewing the laboring individual as the coach and her birth team her players, facilitating the outcome she is comfortable with and ultimately satisfied with.
Please see "Doula Services and Pricing" for additional information. Remember, the first consultation is always free.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"I'm so glad that I met Annie before my second son was born. Her emotional support and practical help made the days leading up to and immediately following the birth of my son calm and enjoyable. I looked forward to the times she would come over to the house - she would pick up things I needed on the way; cook me a tasty, nutritious meal (she is a great cook); and give me a chance to relax and take care of myself (e.g. wrap me using the Bengkung belly binding method - something I highly recommend to any new mom). She would also leave the house more tidy than she found it, which was a huge stress reliever. When Annie was over, I found I could simply enjoy time with my new baby, knowing that other things were getting done. Annie has a gentle, reassuring presence and I'm going to miss her and our chats greatly!"
